Interior Design SILVER Winning Project- Restaurant & Shop

% Arabica Traveling Chameleon Kiosk by no.10, NOMURA Co., Ltd.

Around the world, a sliding mobile café kiosk adapts its appearance based on the place, time, and environment in which it is located.

The kiosk can be configured according to the space of the installation site by combining a kitchen unit and seating units. Chameleon Kiosks are characterized by the fact that when closed, they blend into the surroundings, while when opened, they reveal a coffee shop. Changing its expression like a chameleon, the mirrored façade reflects the surroundings. % Arabica, which is expanding its business internationally, will not copy-paste the design, but rather create a kiosk with a unique local flavor - one that will only be available at the location. Designed for a high-end shopping complex located in Ningbo Heyi Avenue, China, the first Chameleon Kiosk opened in 2021, consisting of four units reflecting the atmosphere and feeling of the complex.

Interior Design Bronze Winning Project - Restaurant & Shop

Tokyo Saiken Teahouse by Tamaki Design Studio

An old house in Tianmu was renovated into a teahouse and gallery on the first and second floors as part of a renovation project. In this concept, the Japanese "WA" is interpreted multiculturally.

In addition to incorporating Western elements into the project, the client, a Taiwanese who had lived in Japan for a long time, wanted to create a place that would connect Japan and Taiwan.

In the first place, the façade is built out of bricks that remind us of good old Taiwan. The design that emphasizes lattice and tiles reminds us of ancient Japan. Stained glass is used for the interior walls, a style that originated in Europe and reached its peak in the United States.

A counter made of columbage (wooden structure) common in medieval Europe has a molding-like texture on the back wall based on the motif of tea boxes. European and American brands are used in the selection of furniture.

Creating from multicultural expressions, Taiwanese, Japanese, and Western designs are merged together in this project.
