Orque d'or Salon Aoyama by NOMURA Co.,Ltd (Japan)
We bring the design vision of Orque D'or (Gold Orca), a private club for high-net-worth individuals, to life under Tokai Tokyo Securities' guiding principle: "As a provider of financial services, we contribute to our customers' asset formation and capital growth, thereby supporting the Japanese economy." Located in Aoyama, this third venue offers both financial and non-financial services, fostering cross-industry collaboration. The club’s "comfortable discomfort" concept inspires curiosity and connection in an elegant setting with a salon, restaurant, and reception room, encouraging interactions that drive Japanese business and social growth.
The club fosters deep member interactions, setting it apart from typical high-net-worth venues. Designed to captivate, it blends art, sophistication, and entertainment. Interiors feature live-created digital, sculptural, and three-dimensional art, while the dining area turns staff movements into visual artistry. Spanning two floors, startup founders access the lower level, while higher-tier members enjoy both levels, promoting cross-generational connections. Inspired by British manor houses, the open layout enhances social flow with an art cellar, rotating gallery, and displays merging finance and art.
The seamless spatial design has increased customer flow from the dining area to the bar, extending overall stay and fostering networking and business opportunities. In the salon, where hospitality reigns, a symbolic service counter serves as both the heart of the space and a stage for the art of service. Surrounded by art, this counter highlights the refined, thoughtful gestures of the staff, transforming each interaction into a memorable performance. Beyond visual impact, it creates a warm ambiance that encourages natural interaction between guests and staff, enhancing comfort and enjoyment throughout the space.
Our design unveils an extraordinary bar in Tokyo, distinguished by a captivating craft wall upon entry. Tailored for high-profile business meetings and dinners, the salon embodies refined elegance with an element of surprise. Welcoming internationally-minded guests, a sculptural blue foil wall—an innovative masterpiece of Japanese artistry—leads into the bar nestled within the art cellar. Art-integrated walls, panoramic Tokyo views, and rotating artworks enhance each visit. Members may host private events, major business negotiations, art exhibitions, or pitch contests, offering an elite platform to amplify their company’s presence.
Its diverse membership of nearly 3,500 in total includes investors, executives, and startup founders, along with unique opportunities for non-member entrepreneurs to connect. Emphasizing an “energetic, active place to be,” it trades traditional privacy for a vibrant, social atmosphere. With unmatched art curation, Orque D'or attracts curious adults, elevates brand recognition, and draws young business owners in their 30s, establishing itself as a hub for business development and collaboration.

Orque D'or embraces sustainability through a community-driven initiative that transforms collected plastic waste into artful furniture. The project, incorporating traditional Japanese craft techniques and niche technologies from small startups, supports the revitalization of declining industries and small businesses. By merging innovation with tradition, the space invites guests to reflect on sustainability. The constant surprises created through spatial manipulation may also inspire a deeper connection, potentially influencing the subconscious and leading to new investments.
