HUMAN UNBORED by Xiaoou Office (China)
HUMAN UNBORED is a platform dedicated to promoting international trendy art. Its first store in China is located in Chengdu. Drawing inspiration from the momentous occasion of humanity's first liberation from the gravitational pull of the Earth, we have created an "unbored trend space station."
The entire project is divided into two distinct areas: the "trend exhibition interior" within the original old industrial building, and the newly constructed "Trees of Three Trend Pop-up Platform."
The architecture integrates the interior and exterior, preserving the existing trees and incorporating them into the building's interior. They extend through the second-floor terrace, creating an open and natural expansion. Based on the original architectural form, we streamlined and simplified the exterior, using different materials to create an orderly facade for the entrance.
Inside the trend exhibition area, the dynamics of "exploration" and "docking" govern the internal creation. By using an inward-stepped method, we constructed a second floor by cantilevering structures around the space. The visual focus lies on the suspended platform that simulates an aircraft carrier's "deck."
We look forward to this project driving the development of China's trendy cultural and creative industries.

In 2020, XIAOOU Office was established in Chengdu, China. It focuses on architecture and interior design, and is deeply involved in the fields of catering, fashion, and new retail formats. The studio is good at the regenerative growth of materials and configurations, and believes that design drives beauty.
