Eggsinn by Xiaoou Office (China)
Eggsinn, which signifies “new life and inclusiveness,” is a trendy fashion concept store born in Chengdu. This time, we adopted the concept of “traversal” as the spatial logic, rationally dividing the space into three independent yet interconnected zones: the “Cabin Display Area,” the “Upstream Hanging Area,” and the “Matrix Storage Area.” This layout maximizes customer satisfaction.
The inverted boat serves as the visual focal point of the entire space, creating a “super-scale” visual impact that is both indoors and outdoors.
For the clothing display area, our vision was to create an experience of traversing through a meandering canyon formed by fabric surfaces, guiding people into a state of exploration. We selected a type of canvas with high extensibility, translucency, and surface sheen, thus creating an interplay of light and shadow that alternates between narrow and spacious spaces.
Compared to a closed storage form, we prefer to open up this area. The array of storage cabinets themselves forms an aesthetic of order.
We hope that our design will gradually inspire customers to imagine and encourage them to explore different fashion styles.

In 2020, XIAOOU Office was established in Chengdu, China. It focuses on architecture and interior design, and is deeply involved in the fields of catering, fashion, and new retail formats. The studio is good at the regenerative growth of materials and configurations, and believes that design drives beauty.
